Historic Main House and Cottage - Rooms

This vacation rental on the water has four bedrooms in the Historic Main House, plus two day beds on the porch. All rooms are spacious and have the original Dade County pine wood floors. All rooms have a ceiling fan and an air- conditioning unit with remote. Enjoy wireless internet service throughout the houses.
Main House Living Room
The living room seats twelve comfortably and there are numerous chairs to pull up for a large gathering. Break out the antique poker table used by such notable guests as Humphrey Bogart and Buckminster Fuller! The artwork on the walls has been added over the years by renowned artists staying on the property. There is a flat screen TV with cable, a DVD player, and stereo for entertainment. Wireless internet is available throughout both Historic Houses.
Main House Dining
The main house has a large dining table that can expand to seat up to sixteen people. This is the perfect spot to gather everyone in your party together to discuss the adventures of the day and the ones to come.
Main House Kitchen
The kitchen is well-stocked and will appeal to any level of chef, with serviceware sufficient to accommodate a large gathering. It still retains its 1920s period charm, with its original cabinets and antique cookware decorating the walls. The large window has a great view of the water. This is the perfect spot to fix your rum punches and Margaritas and chat with your friends while creating a fabulous meal.

Living Room
The plates on the wall were painted by artists who have visited the house.
Main House Porch
The large screened-in porch has a 220 degree view of the water which runs across the front of the house. On the north side, there are two couches and a small table for jigsaw puzzles, games or drawing the wonderful greenery. In the center, there are two daybeds to relax and nap. On the South side, there is plenty of comfortable antique wicker furniture for your guests to enjoy cocktails and discuss the adventures of the day. Enjoy your morning coffee while you watch all of the outdoor activities.
Main House Turquoise Room
This first of two Master bedrooms is located off the kitchen with a king bed, and its own private bath and shower. Often found in 1920s period homes, the sink is in the bedroom. The room has great cross- ventilation with windows located on three sides. This room is approximately 15' x 15'.
Main House Sunrise Room
This second Master bedroom has a king bed and small ensuite bath and shower. There are windows on two sides with a lovely view of the water and gardens. This room is approximately 15' x 15'.
Main House Yellow Room
This room has antique twin beds and furnishings, and its own sink inside the room. The large window offers a lovely view of the garden. There is a shared full bath with a tub just outside the door. This room is approximately 14' x 14'.
Main House Blue Room
This room has antique twin beds and a sink. The windows on two sides offer a view of the gardens. The shared full bath is just outside the door. This room is approximately 14' x 14'.

Historic Cottage - Rooms
Cottage Living Room
The guest cottage has a small stocked kitchen, two bedrooms each with two twin beds, a living room with a trundle bed that can sleep two people and a charming screened porch. The bathroom also has a washer and dryer. Air conditioning, cable TV and wireless Internet add comfort and convenience. Original artworks and photographs from noted creative guests over the years adorn every room of the property.
Cottage Porch
The screened-in porch has ceiling fans and a semi-circular couch, offering a panoramic view of the water and luscious landscape while you enjoy your book. Have a cup of coffee or a quiet lunch. There is a table at the south end that is perfect for a card game or a lovely lunch.
Cottage Kitchen
This fully-stocked kitchen has a separate stand-alone freezer located on the porch for extra ice and frozen Margarita fixin's. With its Dutch door, the kitchen is the perfect place for viewing the exquisite gardens and the light dancing upon the water. There is a vintage 1926 oven (not working) to bring back nostalgic memories of the 1920s.

Cottage Bathroom
Bathroom in the Cottage has washer and dryer and a stand-up shower. There is also an outdoor shower behind the Cottage when you're ready to come in from the beach.
